Pops of Color, Battery Park City, NYC

In this Battery Park City space, color and creative artwork lend a helping hand.

This apartment, photographed a few years back, continues to make it to the list “repeat posts”. Its’ contemporary neutral tones and brief pops of color made it a design-worthy space that seems to maintain a timeless, classy quality.

I have never underestimated the power of fruit on a table, bright flowers, or a strong piece of art work. Neutral colors photograph really well, especially in a smaller space, but I will be the first to tell someone to invest in great “artificial” flowers, fruit or flee market art. This apartment happened to have the real thing. HOWEVER, this is not necessary.

I really believe in my artist heart, color breaths life into a space. So while the sleek modern white, beige and grey make a loud calling, bright pillows, artwork, books and throws can go a long way, especially on a photoshoot and (budget)!
